Hello all..
apologies for my long absence.. summer just got a hold of me and I have not been able to drag myself inside to sit at the computer to write. A lot has happened since my last blog...
More travel; Atlanta for Joining Hearts Party, Amsterdam for Gay Pride, London for Soho pride.... hmmm do I detect a trend here??
And in between the trips, plenty of activities in Chicago: Halsted Marketdays, beach, BBQ's, movies in the park, more BBQs....summers are the best!
But even in the summer there is an opportunity to write about the weather ( which us NL-bloggers abroad love to do!!!!). This time no extreme heat or cold...
Last Thursday, Chicagoland area was hit by 7 tornadoes. Several made it all the way into the city. The result was pretty devastating. Thousands of trees down, over 300.000 homes without power, public transportation and traffic almost to a standstill. This was probably the worst storm since I moved here.
The first picture was taken outside my office building downtown. The second (ahhh... that mini... (Sorry Judi..) ) around the corner from my house in Andersonville.
