Who would have known!! After 7 winters in Chicago, I now discovered the Wisconsin Dells for snowboarding!. Only a 3- hour drive away from Chicago. OK.. it's not Vail or Aspen or Avoriaz, more like Sauerland. Cascade mountain has had over 90 inches of snow since December, and 10 inches the day before we arrived, so needless to say the conditions were excellent.
It's been 4 years since my last snowboard trip, but surprisingly I did pretty good. Especially compared to my friend Hector, who was attempting to snowboard for the 1st time, and did very well (he is reading this. so I have to be nice ...)!!
The many easy green slopes also did wonders for my ego :-)
A great weekend, which will definitely be repeated!
